  • December 16 - 22, 2023: I gave a talk on “Coarsening dynamics of thin films with weak condensation” at the Scientific Computing and Large Data (SCLA) Workshop at University of South Carolina. Thanks to Dr. Wuchen Li for the invitation!
  • November 19 - 21, 2023: Souradip Chattopadhyay presented our work entitled “Modeling droplet droplet coalescence on a tilted superhydrophilic cylindrical wire” at the 76th Annual Meeting of the APS Division of Fluid Dynamics in Washington, DC.
  • November 10 - 12, 2023: I presented at the Undergraduate Research and Experiences Session and served as a judge for the Poster and Lightning Session at TriCAMS 2023 at Duke University.
  • October 30 - November 3, 2023: I visited the Mathematical Institute at University of Oxford and gave a seminar talk on “Coarsening dynamics of thin films with weak condensation” in the OxPDE research group. Thanks to Dr. Jose Carrillo for the invitation!

  • August 20 - 25, 2023: Pejman Sanaei and I co-organized a minisymposium “On mathematical modeling and simulation of droplets” at ICIAM 2023 in Tokyo. I will give a talk on “Thermally-driven coalescence in thin liquid film flowing down a fiber” in our session.
  • July 27, 2023: I gave a talk in a Symposium at the AAPM 65th Annual Meeting entitled “Uncertainty quantification and error propagation of artificial intelligence in medical physics applications”, organized by Kyle Lafata and Jing Wang.
  • July 23 - 26, 2023: I attended the BIRS Workshop on “New Trends in Fluids and Collective Dynamics”, co-organized by Roman Shvydkoy, Theodore Drivas, Nancy Rodriguez, and Eitan Tadmor.
  • July 3 - 7, 2023: I gave a talk in the Lorentz Center Workshop on Analysis and numerics of nonlinear PDEs: degeneracies & free boundaries.
  • June 7 - 10, 2023: I served as a faculty mentor in the Graduate Student Mathematical Modeling Camp (GSMMC).
  • May 30 - Aug. 5, 2023: I co-mentored four undergraduate students with Dr. Karen Daniels on an REU project “Mathematical modeling of liquid metal dynamics” as part of the 2023 DRUMS REU program.
  • May 30 - Aug. 4, 2023: I served as a faculty mentor for the SECU Rural Works! Internship program organized by NCSU Career Development Center.
  • May 6 - 7, 2023: I gave a talk on “Neural differential equations for medical image prediction and segmentation” at the AMS Special Session on Women in Mathematics, organized by Doreen De Leon, Oscar Vega, and Katherine Kelm, at AMS Spring Western Sectional Meeting at California State University, Fresno, Fresno, CA.
  • April 7, 2023: I gave a talk on “Fiber coating dynamics: modeling, theory, and algorithms” in the Applied and Computational Mathematics (ACM) Seminar at the University of South Carolina. Thanks to Dr. Changhui Tan and Dr. Siming He for inviting me!
  • March 25 - 26, 2023: I gave a talk on “Wetting and Drying in Membrane Filters” in a minisymposium on “Methods, Models, and Analysis of the Complex Systems”, organized by Xiaofeng Yang and Pengtao Yue, at the SIAM Southeastern Atlantic Section Annual Meeting at Virginia Tech.
